What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and improve performance. We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage, referred to here together as cookies.
This Policy covers media.inflxd.com. Our other sites publish their own cookies policies, because they use different tools.
Types of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Essential | Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. Always on. |
| Analytics | Help us understand what gets read, where readers come from, and which organizations are reading us. Also lets Google show you our advertising on other sites. Off until you accept. |
These are the two categories offered in on this site. Nothing but essential cookies is set until you accept.
The cookies we set
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
inflxd_consent | INFLXD Media | Records your cookie choice so we do not ask again. | 180 days |
ph_... _posthog | PostHog | Recognises your browser across pages so we can count a visit rather than a series of strangers. Set only after you accept analytics cookies. | 12 months |
_ga, _ga_494490214 | Google Analytics | Measures visits and which pages are read. Set only after you accept analytics cookies. | 12 months |
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures whether our advertising brought you to the site, and allows Google to show you our advertising elsewhere. Set only after you accept analytics cookies. | 90 days |
Third-party cookies
We use PostHog, hosted in the United States, for site analytics. It sets first-party cookies beginning "ph_" only after you accept analytics cookies.
We use Google Analytics to measure what gets read, and Google Ads so that Google can show you INFLXD advertising on other websites and apps after you have read us, and measure whether that advertising brought you back. Both run under Google consent mode and are set to denied until you accept analytics cookies.
We also work out which organization a visit came from, where the network address belongs to a company rather than a home or mobile provider, using business identification services which may include Apollo. Where such a service runs in your browser it loads only after you accept analytics cookies. It identifies the organization, not you personally. See Organization Data in our Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
You can:
- Accept or reject cookies using the banner shown on your first visit.
- Change your choice at any time in , also linked in our footer.
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
- Use your mobile device's ad tracking settings.
Blocking certain cookies may affect site functionality.
Advertising and "do not sell or share"
Switching Analytics off in Cookie settings turns off Google Ads alongside analytics, so it also stops the advertising described above. If applicable local laws define "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, visitors in the United States can opt out that way, or by emailing privacy@inflxd.com. We do not sell personal information.
