BlueMatrix to acquire Aiera, backed by Thoma Bravo
The combined platform targets governed distribution of broker research into buy-side AI workflows.

Thoma Bravo-backed BlueMatrix has agreed to acquire Aiera, combining BlueMatrix's research authoring and distribution network with Aiera's AI-enabled research platform. Financial terms were not disclosed.
BlueMatrix serves more than 1,000 financial institutions and over 7,000 analysts worldwide, according to the announcement. Aiera provides permissioned access to broker research, expert insights, live events, transcripts, filings and news, built for the AI tools and internal platforms that buy-side and sell-side firms already run.
The companies frame the deal around a specific problem: when a buy-side analyst asks an internal LLM a question, the model may pull from broker notes, transcripts and filings without carrying the authorship, rights and consumption trail that research providers and compliance teams require. BlueMatrix handles the authoring and permissioning side. Aiera supplies the content layer (transcripts, events, filings) and the delivery pipes into third-party AI tools.

"When AI consumes research, questions around attribution, intellectual property and entitlements become critical. Governed AI consumption requires research that is structured for machine-readable delivery, carries declared rights and persistent attribution from the point of authoring, and produces an auditable record of how it is consumed." , David Nable, Chief Executive Officer, BlueMatrix, in the deal announcement
Aiera is backed by investors including, per its prior disclosures, institutional and strategic partners in the research distribution space. The company has focused on earnings events, transcripts and a research assistant layer aimed at buy-side and sell-side analysts.
