Datasite integrates Rogo AI into M&A data rooms

Datasite has partnered with Rogo to let approved M&A deal teams run the AI provider's tools directly against live content inside Datasite data rooms, according to the announcement carried on Yahoo Finance on Tuesday. The integration is designed so that files never leave the room and existing permission structures stay intact.

The mechanic matters more than the marketing. Data rooms exist because M&A documents are among the most permission-sensitive assets a bank or corporate development team handles. The default AI workflow, download a folder, drop it into a chatbot, ask questions, breaks every rule that a virtual data room is built to enforce: audit trail, per-user access, watermarking, no local copies. An integration that keeps queries inside the room is the only version of AI-on-deal-docs that a compliance team will sign off on.

Rogo is one of a small group of AI vendors positioning specifically at investment banking and buy-side deal work, alongside names like Hebbia and V7 Labs. Datasite is the incumbent data room provider most often paired with Intralinks in sell-side league tables. The read-through: Datasite is choosing partnership over build, and Rogo is getting distribution into rooms it would otherwise have to win one bank at a time.

Neither company disclosed commercial terms or a customer count for the integration in the announcement. Worth watching over the next two quarters: which bulge-bracket or mid-market advisory firms name the pairing in a live deal, and whether Intralinks and other room providers move on similar arrangements.
