S&P Global expands ChatIQ in Capital IQ Pro release
The update folds multi-source conversational search into the terminal and adds a beta Portfolio Insights module.

S&P Global has pushed a Capital IQ Pro release that expands ChatIQ, its conversational research layer, and introduces a beta Portfolio Insights module. The update also broadens underlying content coverage across banking, energy, insurance, macroeconomic data, private companies, sustainability, and news and alerts.
According to S&P Global, ChatIQ lets users ask questions across the platform's data sets and documents in one place, reducing time spent moving between tools. The pitch is familiar: fewer tabs, more analysis.
The Portfolio Insights beta is the more interesting item. S&P describes it as AI-powered attribution that connects portfolio performance with market context, including earnings. That puts it in the same functional neighborhood as what AlphaSense, Hebbia, and Bloomberg's AI features have been building toward, which is a workflow layer that sits between raw data and the analyst's memo.

Content expansion in this release is incremental rather than structural. Banking, energy, insurance, macro, private companies, sustainability, and news/alerts all get coverage additions, per the release. S&P did not quantify the additions.
